1.Shapes of cutting head

2. Shaft diameter and length
Turbine or Friction Grip (FG) Type
These burs are for high speed rotation. It has shaft diameter of always 1.6mm and has a free end. The ISO number defines the length of each bur.

Angle or Right Angle (RA) Type
These burs are used for medium speed rotation contra-angle handpieces. it has shaft diameter of always 2.35 mm and has a notch at the end. The ISO number defines the length of each bur.
Hand Part or Hand Piece (HP) Type
These burs are commonly used with handpieces both in clinics and laboratories. It has shaft diameter of always 2.35 mm and has a free end. The ISO number defines the length of each bur.

3. Cutting Head Material
Tungsten Carbide - ISO 500
Its working part consists of alloy. (We do not manufacture this type of cutting head)

Diamond - ISO 806
By means of electroplated technology, the diamond powder is hereby plated to the shaft according to the shapes and the grit sizes.

4. Grit Size
The colours below are painted in the neck of the bur.

Black, super-coarse. Grit size 180 μm.

Green, coarse. Grit size 150 μm.

Blue, medium. Grit size 106 μm.

Red, fine. Grit size 63 μm.

Yellow, super-fine. Grit size 40 μm.

White, ultra-fine. Grit size 14 μm.
5. Diameter of head
Measured in 1/10 mm (eg. for 0.5 mm, code: 005; for 4.2 mm, code: 042).
